The Empire is decorated in a soft country blue, and is smartly accessorized by hand sown custom draperies with clever cumber bun button valances! A touch of a southern flare can be felt in the Empire and guests marvel at the craftsmanship in the magnificent moldings that outline the ceiling.  Just remodeled the Empire now offers a private bath and an old fashioned custom-made sink vanity, which guests find especially appealing. The fireplace has been restored to working order and is framed by a historic mantel painted centuries ago by an itinerant artist. Spacious yet comfortable, the Empire offers an inviting plush reading chair or perhaps you will prefer to rest on the sitting bench positioned under the window and take in the view of our gardens.  The room is ideally situated on the second floor steps from the entrance to the second floor veranda. Sit awhile on the veranda and you will soon be captivated by all that nature has to offer on our very own grounds!
